Pakistan’s batsman Babar Azam equaled the unwanted record of Umar Akmal and Saim Ayub in T20 Internationals. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 6 runs in the final league match of the tri-nation T20 series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 185 runs, Pakistan’s first wicket fell for 29 runs in the fourth over, when Babar Azam came out to bat, but he was dismissed without scoring a run on the second ball. This was the 10th time Babar Azam was dismissed for duck in a T20 International match. Earlier, he was also dismissed for zero against Zimbabwe in the first match of the tri-nation series. Babar Azam, along with Saim Ayub and Umar Akmal, has become the Pakistani batsman with the most zeros in T20 Internationals. Saim Ayub has been dismissed for zero in 55 matches, Umar Akmal in 84 matches, while Babar Azam has been dismissed for zero 10 times in 135 matches. It should be noted that the record for the most zeros in T20 Internationals overall is held by Sri Lanka’s Dassan Shanaka, who has been dismissed for zero 15 times.
